Center for Biomedical Informatics
Description
The Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) offers industry-standard, enterprise-class infrastructure and software tools to store, integrate, query, analyze, and visualize complex clinical and molecular data sets. The CBMI provides essential data management/analysis and collaborative tools and comprehensive training resources to promote collaborative studies and facilitate the identification of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and the subsequent development of personalized therapies.
Services Available to ICTS Members
- Genome annotation and promoter analysis tools
- Centralized storage, management, and access of Affymetrix microarray expression and SNP genotyping data
- Free access to microarray analysis applications, Function Express and SpotFire
- Consultation on microarray expression and SNP (for copy number and LOH) analyses
- Microarray expression and SNP (for copy number and LOH) analyses on a fee for service basis
- Centralized storage and management of medical re-sequencing or mutation profiling data
- Automated analysis of medical re-sequencing or mutation profiling data
- Consultation on clinical study or trial data capture and modeling
- Consultation on use of the biospecimen management system Tissue Core. This service may be used to aid with migration of legacy biospecimen inventory and tracking data as well as to utilize Tissue Core for prospective biospecimen collection purposes.
