ICTS Pilot & Novel Methodologies Program
Description of the Program
Objectives:
The Pilot and Novel Methodologies Program provides members of the ICTS with the opportunity to apply for funds
to develop innovative clinical and translational methodologies or to conduct collaborative clinical studies.
This program supports:
- New investigators in either clinical or translational research who do not yet have their own peer-reviewed
research support
- Established investigators who are working in other fields, but are interested in exploring new directions
in clinical and/or translational research
- Established investigators already active in the field of clinical or translational research, but whose proposed
project is different from their previous work
- Developing or maintaining inter- or multidisciplinary groups working on novel methodologies or research teams
working on a clinical problem of interest and importance.
The specific aims of this program are:
- To facilitate the development and implementation of novel clinical and translational research methodologies into human studies
- To facilitate the development of multi- and/or interdisciplinary groups or teams of investigators working on different
or related aspects of important clinical or translational research problems
- To help support the research activities of the Center for Clinical Research Training
